Notre Dame burned

Yesterday Notre Dame Cathedral caught on fire to what apparently was a human error, as far we know a short circuit caused a fire on the roof of the cathedral where maintenance work was being performed. The enormous wooden structure that sustained the roof of the 850-year-old cathedral fueled the fire for hours; a loss estimated in the millions of euros that experts are not sure they will be able to rebuild, as France no longer has trees big enough to rebuild the structure.
Hundreds of locals mourn the cathedral, even yesterday night when several joined to sing ‘Ave Maria’ by the bank of the Sienna. A loss of a piece of human history, at this time the extent of the damage is unclear although the engineers find minor to no structural damage to the church. Several of France’s most wealthy have already have shown their support and donated large amounts of money that they will later deduct from their taxes as a reward for their good deed of wanting to rebuild wood and rock.
Notre Dame Cathedral will forever be scared and the signs of the fire will never leave, the French will also never forget this date, the French so proud of their city will hurt on this day for many decades.
I, as a non-fan of the Catholic Church and the French, could care less about the burning of edification that was probably built on the ruins of a Gallo-Roman temple to Jupiter (probably demolished to build the first church that stood there).

No, I have never been to the cathedral, but I recognize that part of human history and the loss of the art contained within the building is a loss for humanity as it cannot be replaced… still, it means nothing.

“OMG, Nailo, how could you say that!?” Did I stutter, bitches? No, I did not. Y’all want to cry about the loss of a FRENCH building that y’all have probably never seen. Some of you mourn the loss of a Catholic sanctuary, if you have even shed a tear for the church and felt joy because the Catholic relics like the crown of thorns were not lost in the fire, well, I cannot be sorrier for you, you fucking ignorant alienated dumb fucks!

So, to close this opinion of mine about this event, I would like to quote Kristian “Varg” Vikernes who said: The Church has behaved so disgracefully, when they talk about Satanism when someone burns a church they ought to look at themselves and remember all the sacred places they have burned and the ruins on top of which they have built their churches.
